Types of Glass Railing
Glass Railings : Buildings today are built in small areas but require the feel of large open spaces. One of the common ways to achieve this effect is with the use of glass railings. Pinnacle uses many different types of toughened glasses to create railings which become the centre points of focus in the living space while adding functionality. We ensure that the railing match not just your requirements but also the design aesthetic.
Glass Post Railing System: The glass post railing system is made up of metal posts and glass clips. It grips the glass panels from both sides using rubber pads in between steel plates. Use the clips with normal glass, or secure them to pre-drilled glass with a bolt for extra strength. Almost every post comes with a handrail bracket at the top where wooden or metal handrail can be attached. Choose between a flat top or universal top handrail bracket to decide whether your handrail sits flush against the top of the post, or whether it is elevated above it.
Glass Railing Standoff Pins: Polished, powerful, and discreet — the standoff bracket pin system consists of glass panels held up by 2” round metal pins. The pins may be small and unobtrusive, but don’t underestimate them. Each pin is lightweight and is made from 6061 Aluminum, the same material used for both aircraft and marine fittings.
Glass Base Rail System
Our Glass Base Rail System is defined by strength, offering simple installation, clean lines, and gorgeous views. The glass base rail system is made up of a slim yet sturdy piece of aluminum metal that runs along the bottom of the railing, providing a sturdy foundation for holding up each glass panel. The top of the glass panels can act as the handrail — so there’s no need to add a metal or wood handrail. The base rail comes in lengths of 4′ 6″ for interior systems and additionally 8′ and 12′ covers for exterior systems. Base rail is also able to be powder coated for a striking finish.
Glass Railing Tylon system
Glass Talon system beautifully showcases the possibilities of glass railing, requiring minimal work while maximizing your view. This glass panel railing system is made up of glass panels and talon spigot clamps. Talons come in a surface mount configuration. You will need to use at least two talons for every 4’ glass panel. Each one weighs about 6 pounds and measures 7” from bottom to top.
Ascend Glass Talon Spigots - A Versatile Talon Alternative
When you want the look of Surface Mount Talons for your staircase, choose Ascend Talons.Each talon is a taller, stronger and specially built to hold glass panels in place as they angle up a staircase. Ascend Talons are made from aluminum and can be powder coated any color you want. Install the talons in the same way you would install a standoff pin: by putting a hole in the glass, then securing the talon. However, you only need two talons per glass panel, making this a visually sleeker alternative to standoff pins.
